                                                                                                       OUR SUPPORTERS

We have developed and grown during the past decade with the support of a small number of long-term strategic partnerships and funding relationships. In the early years, programmatic and core support was provided by the Dorobo Fund for Tanzania, African Initiatives, and Norwegian People’s Aid.

As UCRT continues to expand its programmatic areas and scope of operations, we continue to seek long-term strategic partnerships with other organisations committed to social justice and rural development through strengthening community-based natural resource management in northern Tanzania. We prioritise the development of medium- to long-term professional support and funding partnerships that enable the organisation to strengthen its core human resources and technical capacity in a sustainable way. This approach enables the organisation to ensure that it maintains consistent and reliable partnerships with the communities we work with, and avoids short-lived and unsustainable time frames that often undermine many otherwise well-framed initiatives.

The challenging yet highly-rewarding nature of our vision and mission demands that we stay the course and stand by the communities we work with for as long as they ask us to.

We would like to thank all the organisations that contribute towards our work in making a positive impact on communities and sustainable land management across Northern Tanzania.
